Dr. Bromley did her undergraduate work at the Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She received her doctor of medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia in August, Georgia. Dr. Bromley served as chief resident during her ophthalmology residency and completed a corneal fellowship at at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Bromley is the newest member of the Georgia Eye team.

Elizabeth Miller, M.D., is a founding partner of the Georgia Eye Institute and is director of refractive surgery. Dr. Miller received her undergraduate degree from Rollins College in Florida and her Doctor of Medicine degree at SUNY Upstate Medical School in Syracuse, New York. Dr. Miller did her post-graduate training at Wills Eye Hospital and completed a fellowship in oculoplastics at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester.

After completing her fellowship Dr. Miller came to Savannah to practice and in 1987 joined Georgia Eye Institute. Joseph Gussler, M.D.

Dr. Joseph Gussler received his undergraduate at Vanderbilt University and went on to pursue his degree in medicine at the University of Louisville. Dr. Gussler completed his residency and fellowship in cornea at the University of Kentucky. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Gussler relocated to Savannah and joined Georgia Eye Institute in 1994. Dr. Gussler is the current President of Georgia Eye Institute of the Southeast and serves as Medical Director of Georgia Eye Institute Surgery Center.

Dr. Gussler specializes in cornea and is one of the only surgeons in the greater Savannah area to perform the DSEK procedure. Dr. Gussler is an active member in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Savannah Society of Ophthalmology.

Dr. King was born and raised in Hickory, North Carolina. Dr. King attended Duke University for both his undergraduate and medical degrees. He performed an internship in Atlanta and a three-year residency in ophthalmology at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Dr. King then completed a fellowship in retina at the University of Texas in Houston.

After completing his two-year fellowship in medical and surgical Vitreoretinal disease, Dr. King joined the Georgia Eye Institute in 1994 and has since provided comprehensive retinal services to the greater Savannah area. Dr. King’s practice focuses on treatment of retina disease to include diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, trauma, and retinal vascular disease.
